These are links to free informational resources on the Internet:

Topix

www.topix.net

Topix.net provides news articles and broadcast transcripts like many of our databases. It is free and often has more local stories than Nexis

and Factiva.

411.com

www.411.com

Excellent source for finding people.  Once you find your person the site has a “find neighbors” button, which lists people living around your subject.  It also has international directories.

Anywho

http://www.anywho.com/wp.html

Easy to use site claiming more than 100 million listings.  As with all free public records sites only listed numbers are made available and anyone can opt to be deleted.  Has an excellent reverse directory to help you trace the name that belongs to a number.

Anywho International

http://anywho.com/international.html

International listings by country.

Directory Assistance Plus

http://www.daplus.us/?partner=400007

This site has many free features for locating people and offers links to pay services if you want and need to dig deeper.  Will often give person’s age in their listing.

Online Yellow Pages

Yellow pages are another way to find specific people.  There are dozens of yellow page phone books online.  Here are some of the better ones.

SuperPages

http://www.superpages.com/

InfoBel

http://infobel.com/world/

This is one of the few truly international yellow pages and a good place to start for international business numbers.
